CEF.- Santo Domingo recibió el Premio del Jurado ECOFIN 2020, a través de la Universidad a Distancia de Madrid, UDIMA, por la respuesta de esta institución frente al covid-19, “demostrando know-how humano y tecnológico al servicio de la sociedad”.
El galardón lo recibió a principios de septiembre Arturo de las Heras, presidente del Grupo Educativo CEF.-UDIMA, de la mano de Jorge Ruiz, secretario general de la Asociación de Escuelas de Negocios de España, en una ceremonia celebrada en la N@ve de Madrid, donde fue guardado el debido distanciamiento social.
«La UDIMA tiene como propósito compartir con la sociedad su know-how y experiencia para generar y transferir conocimiento. Las circunstancias de la pandemia han propiciado que nuestro ADN como universidad sea ofrecido sin ánimo de lucro y desde una perspectiva solidaria», apunta Ana Landeta, directora de relaciones institucionales del Grupo Educativo CEF.- UDIMA.
Los dominicanos han tenido acceso total y gratuito a los 131 webinars que el Grupo Educativo CEF.- UDIMA ha publicado como apoyo a la campaña global #QuédateEnCasa, con más de 300,000 visualizaciones desde República Dominicana, los países de la Unión Europea, Estados Unidos y Sudamérica.
Por si fuera poco, UDIMA, pionera de la formación telepresencial en Europa, liberó todos sus contenidos en los tiempos en los que la cuarentena fue más severa.
“Es gratificante para mí que la institución de educación superior a la que pertenezco haya sido tan solícita en liberar todo su contenido formativo online y producir eventos digitales justo en estos tiempos difíciles. Este es un aporte al desarrollo continuo del talento humano, que necesita de mejores herramientas para afrontar la crisis global por la que atravesamos”, cuenta Patricia Portela, rectora de CEF.- Santo Domingo.
El Premio del Jurado ECOFIN 2020 es un aval más que sustenta la capacidad de CEF.- Santo Domingo de sostener con su infraestructura tecnológica todo el año escolar dominicano, así como ha demostrado el potencial que tiene de cambiar la educación superior del país.
Por ejemplo, en agosto de este año, la institución formó a 300 docentes de educación superior, de 25 universidades dominicanas, para que pongan a funcionar sus propias aulas virtuales.
“De la misma manera en la que aportamos a la transformación digital de la educación superior de República Dominicana, tenemos el potencial de sostener el año escolar semipresencial, telepresencial o con cualquier modalidad que decidan las autoridades”, dice Edesio Ureña Albacete, director general de CEF.- Santo Domingo.
