SANTO DOMINGO.- Al menos 30 representantes de la comunidad dominicana en Estados Unidos y Puerto Rico, encabezados por el congresista Adriano Espaillat, solicitaron a la Junta Central Electoral (JCE) la inclusión de los dominicanos en el exterior en las elecciones del próximo 5 de julio.
Pidieron al organismo que utilice el rotocolo Sanitario para Recintos y Colegios Electorales que se implementará en la República Dominicana.
En una carta enviada a la Junta, el grupo observa que el estado de Nueva York ha pactado para celebrar elecciones primarias presidenciales, congresuales y estatales el 23 de junio, siguiendo pautas sanitarias, con recintos abiertos y la opción del voto en ausencia con boletas electorales que se envían por correo.
