San Juan (Puerto Rico).- El instituto de Dominicanos y Dominicanas en el Exterior oficina Puerto Rico (Index-PR) continúa la entrega de raciones alimenticias a los sectores de la comunidad dominicana en esa isla, que se han visto más afectados debido a la paralización de la economía por motivo del coronavirus.
Adalberto Bejarán, director del (Index-PR), informó que estos operativos se están realizando dando continuidad a la directrices del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, siguiendo la política de solidaridad con los más necesitados implementada por el presidente de la República Dominicana, Danilo Medina.
Indicó que en esta ocasión las ayudas están siendo distribuidas por medio de 18 organizaciones dominicanas de base comunitaria.
Dijo que los operativo son coordinados por la división de asuntos comunitarios del Index-PR con la colaboración del consulado dominicano en la persona del cónsul general, Franklin Grullón.
